The SunDrum™ merges today’s solar arrays with solar water heater technology to create the
world’s first compact solar energy collector.

The typical home uses 20-40% of it’s energy load to create hot water. That means the typical
PV panel uses a huge percentage of it's electricity to heat hot water.
The SunDrum™ Collector Triples System Efficiency
Typical PV cells convert the suns energy into electricity. By adding the SunDrum™ collector
both electricity and thermal energy is collected at >50% efficiency. The SunDrum™ collector not
only satisfies the need to heat hot water. It also improves PV electrical performance by cooling
the cells.
The SunDrum™ collector increases overall panel efficiency from ~16% to ~60%. PV electrical
efficiency improves ~10% (i.e. 16% to 17.6%). The remainder of energy gathered is thermal.
